Silken Soul
Does not the spider bare its soul in silk? You need only to look beneath the leaves. Does not the soil give praise to blessed rain? You need only quaff the petrichor to know. The cosmos speaks volumes to you, of you, And offers the promise of weal and woe. Why then do you take only the latter? Who told you that you are undeserving Of a life rich in contentment and love? It is naught but self-inflicted cruelty, You need not let it hold your heart in chains! Let others share in your burdens and fears, And let them aid you in forgiving yourself. Take the hands lovingly offered to you, Together we can lighten those fetters Which lie heavy upon your weary soul.
