Ice Giant

Just another bit of practice out of boredom. Generic ice giant planet, similar to Neptune and Uranus, composed mainly of nitrogen and oxygen rather than the hydrogen/helium that gas giants like Jupiter and Saturn are made of. The atmosphere also contains a significant amount of water vapor, and there is a remote possibility one of the inner layers is composed of a liquid water/ammonia mix ocean. A small orbital research station can be seen in the foreground housing scientists probing the planet for organic chemistry and other signs of life. They know other gas planets have life, some even have ecosystems composed of complex multicellular life (though those are very rare), but these particular scientists are attempting to probe deep into the planet to find this water/ammonia ocean that may or may not exist. Even if they don't find the ocean or life the research is valuable as probing deep into a gas planet's interior is still largely theoretical even with humanity's current level of technology. It's been attempted before but research into the topic largely dropped off after the ill-fated manned descent into Jupiter's Great Red Spot, but that's what you get for making an "uncrushable ship" and naming it the Titanic then casting it into a massive planet.
